1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use VDA:

• Account information: email address, username, and a hashed password (bcrypt, one-way — we cannot recover your plain-text password). If you sign in with Google, we also store your Google ID and profile picture.
• Order information: plan type, amount, currency, and payment status, used to manage your membership.
• Feedback: content and images you submit through our feedback feature.
• Basic log data: IP address and request logs, used for security and troubleshooting.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and authenticate you (including Google Sign-In).
• To process membership payments and grant access to paid features.
• To send essential emails: email verification codes and password reset links.
• To provide customer support and respond to your feedback.
• To secure the Service and prevent abuse.

3. Payment Processing

Payments are processed by an independent third-party payment provider. Your card details are collected and handled exclusively by the provider; we never receive or store your full card number, CVC, or expiration date.

We store only the order record (plan, amount, status) needed to grant and verify your membership.

4. Google Sign-In

When you sign in with Google, we request only the minimum OAuth scopes (openid, profile, email) and receive your Google ID, email address, and public profile picture. We do not request access to your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts, or any other Google service data, and we do not use Google data for advertising. You can revoke access at any time in your Google account settings.

5. Local Processing of Downloads

Media detection and downloading happen locally on your device through our extension and desktop app. We do not transmit, store, or monitor the media files you download.

6. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with: (a) service providers who help us operate the Service (such as email delivery and cloud hosting), bound by confidentiality obligations; (b) our payment provider, as needed to complete your payment; and (c) authorities, when required by law.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required by law to keep transaction records.

8. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page, and the “Last updated” date will be revised.
